The connection between art and technology is much tighter than commonly recognized. Modern technology has found many applications in the field of interactive art through constant artistic research and the rapid development of technology. Interdisciplinary artists and creative technologists have created interactive artworks at the intersection of art and technology based on the relationship between participants and machines. In the past 10 years, with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence methods and Machine Learning models-related technology, it has reconstructed the relationship between participants and machines which enabled a new class and vision of interactive art.
The fusion of artificial intelligence and interactive art has been trying different channels to enter the vision of humans, which had a profound impact on the development process of creating artworks and vice versa. Currently, we have entered a new era of art where we are creating new hybrid perceptions of the future that we have never experienced before. This makes the boundary even more blurred between humans and machines in 2020. Through this research, we speculate a possible future form and direction of interactive artworks in the next 5-10 years.
